The Lore of Raven Mocker Tattoo
Raven Mocker Tattoo was built as more than a place to get tattooed.
It was created as an intentional space for those drawn to the darker aesthetics, creativity, craftmanship, and respect for tattoo art in all its forms — whether deeply meaningful or simply loved for the art itself.
Founded by Jonathan Swiney, Raven Mocker grew from the desire to create a studio environment that felt more focused and more aligned with the kind of work being created within it.
Dark surrealism, traditional tattoo lineage, folklore, horror, Japanese influence, and fine art all leave their fingerprints here — but the foundation remains the same:
Thoughtful design. Strong composition. Work built to last.
Why Raven Mocker Exists
Raven Mocker was built from the belief that tattooing deserves intention— not just in the work itself, but in the environment surrounding it.
After years working within the more traditional shop settings, it became clear that not every creative process thrives in the same atmosphere.
Some work requires more focus.
Some clients need more comfort.
Some spaces simply need higher standards.
Raven mocker was built on a the belief that professionalism, respect, creativity, and quality should be standard — not treated as optional trends.
A place where clients can feel comfortable, respected, and confident in the process.
Where artistic growth is encouraged.
Where tattoo tradition is respected while still allowing room for evolution.
The Experience
Raven Mocker Tattoo operates as an artist-led studio built around focused work, clear communication, and respect for the tattooing process.
Many projects begin through consultation and appointment scheduling, especially larger custom concepts that benefit from thoughtful planning and long-term structure.
At the same time, tattoo culture has always included spontaneity, flash, and the simple joy of walking in and getting something solid.
That tradition sill has a place here.
Whether someone is pursuing a large-scale custom project, a smaller tattoo, or selecting from artist-created flash, the same standards apply:
Thoughtful design. Strong execution. Respect for the craft.
The experience clients have here is shaped by more than the tattooing itself. Intentional spaces are built - and maintained- by the people behind them.
The People Behind Raven Mocker
Jonathan
As the founder of Raven Mocker, Jonathan built the studio around focused work, structured process, and respect for tattooing as both craft and tradition.
His artistic influences were shaped long before tattooing— through his love of comics, skate culture, graffiti, fine art, horror cinema, and the visual storytelling that inspired much of his early creative life. Contributing to his ongoing evolution as an artist and tattooer.
Outside the studio, Jonathan’s interests continue to reflect that same world — horror literature and film, martial arts, gaming, nature, comics, dinosaurs, dragons, and city destroying kaijus.
